Once upon a time, we had a product that incorporated two small glass hearts. Back in the early 2000s it was easy to find these hearts. Because real gold is use for the color red in glass production, they were a little higher than any other color, but since we were only using two hearts, it really didn't matter. The red color is in the glass, not sprayed on.
As the years went by, these hearts became harder and harder to find, and the ones we could get had inconsistent textures and the occasional spot on them. We coped by sorting them and matching them up. Then, the hearts got very hard to find. We cornered the market and bought up all the red hearts available. When we discontinued the product, we had a lot on our hands.
Unless you have a source I don't know about, you will not find these hearts anywhere but at Lifeforce Glass. There are some hearts out there that look kind of orange-y, these are ruby red. There are some with sprayed-on color that will chip off, these are made with red glass. It's a find for you. They are not perfect if "perfect" means perfectly consistent from heart to heart, or free from spots. There are some spots, they vary a little in height. They are perfect in the fact that they even exist!
Keep away from small children as these could be a choking hazard!
A one-pound bag contains approximately 32 hearts. They are one inch across and about a half an inch high.
